Carma Audaleen Worrel, age100 passed away Monday, September 8, 2003 at the home of her son Jerrold K. Worrel in Oak Grove, MO. Services will be held at 10 am Thursday, September 11, 2003 at George C. Carson & Sons Funeral Home with visitation from 7:00-8:30 pm Wednesday at the funeral home. Her burial will be in Oak Ridge Memory Gardens. Contributions may be made to the charity of your choice in lieu of flowers.. Mrs. Worrel graduated from Central High School in 1920. She was a member of the Rebekah Lodge and a member of the Odessa Christian Church. Mrs. Worrel�s life encompassed a century of memorable, historical experiences to include many wars, Pearl Harbor, 9-11 and a meeting with Geronimo in 1907. Mrs. Worrel was born December 13, 1902 in Neodesha, KS the daughter of John & Sara Minta Eaton Moore. She was married to James A. Worrel, January 15, 1925 and they were married 66 years before his death in December 1991. Seven children were born to this union, James R. Worrel, Nashville, TN, Kathleen Joyce Richardson, Blue Springs, MO, Patsy Faye Swartz, Independence, MO, Jerrold, K. Worrel, Oak Grove, MO, Doria D. Curtin, Independence, MO Jana Star Paris, Independence, MO and Joseph A. Worrel, Porter, OK, 29 grandchildren, 69 great-grandchildren and 18 great-great-grandchildren, one half-brother, John W. Moore of CA.
