Willard Leroy Wyckoff, 71, of Independence, MO, passed away, Monday, September 14, 2009 at his residence. Cremation is planned with private family inurnment in Pleasant View Cemetery in Ft. Scott, KS. Willard was born November 22, 1937 in Vernon County, MO, to Lawrence and Zora A. (Dunbar) Wyckoff. He had worked for over 45 years as a bricklayer for the local Bricklayer’s Union in Kansas City. He proudly served in the US Army during Vietnam. He enjoyed gardening, puzzles and building. He was a member of the Deerfield Baptist Church in Deerfield, MO and the F.O.E. #3717 in Sugar Creek, MO. He was married to Donna L. (Barker); she preceded him in death on January 3, 2009. Survivors include; his siblings, Wanda Haley, William Wyckoff, Wiley Wyckoff, Weldon Wyckoff and Rhonda Bailey; a daughter, Wanda Gail Wyckoff; 4 grandchildren, Anita, Jennifer, Elizabeth and Doug Leeper; 2 great grandchildren, Alex and Christopher Leeper numerous nieces, nephews, great nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by a daughter, Lisa Gail Wyckoff in 1965, and 2 siblings, Wilma Carpenter and Wayne Wyckoff.
