MAXINE MYRTLE WYRICK
Maxine Wyrick, 96, of Independence, MO passed away Saturday, September 18, 2010 at Centerpoint Medical Center. Maxine was born July 18, 1914 to Earl and Vera Pearl (Evans) Chalfant in Meadville, MO. After graduating from high school she married Earl Wyrick and together raised three sons. Maxine was a member of Sycamore Hills Baptist Church and enjoyed sewing, knitting, and crocheting in her spare time. She leaves behind to cherish her memory her three sons and their wives: Richard and Sandy Wyrick of Independence, MO, Larry and Vicki Wyrick of Springhill, KS, and Randy and Cheryl Wyrick of Parkville, MO; sisters Maurene Bartlett of Independence, MO and Betty Moore of LaClede, MO; six grandchildren; ten great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren. A visitation will be from 9-11:00 AM Thursday, September 23 at Carson-Speaks Chapel, 1501 W. Lexington Ave., Independence. Graveside services will be at 1:00 PM Thursday at Mt. Washington Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests contributions to the American Cancer Society, 1100 Pennsylvania Ave., Kansas City, MO 64105.
