Charles Yaeger Jr

September 23, 1927 — April 12, 2013

Charles (Charlie) Yaeger, 85, of Bucker, Missouri, passed away quietly on April 12, 2013 at the Shangri-La Rehab and Living Center in Blue Springs, Missouri. He is survived by his wife of 64 years, Gloria Sue Hill Yaeger, and his children, Scott and Patty Faye Yaeger of Blue Springs, Missouri, and Zach and Sonia Yaeger of Pharr, Texas. He is also survived by his grandchildren, Brendon and Becky Yaeger of St. Louis, Missouri, and Kaleb Yaeger of Pharr, Texas. He is preceded in death by his grandson Matthew Yaeger, who passed away just last year. Charlie was born in Tilton, Georgia and worked as a Lineman for Georgia Power and Light for many years. He moved his family to Missouri in 1956 to work for Kansas City Power and Light, and retired from there in 1993. He was an Army veteran and was stationed in California. He loved fishing, hunting, and reading, and especially loved Gloria’s Southern cooking. Charlie will be laid to rest in Dalton, Georgia with a private memorial service. We would like to thank the staff of Shangri-La Rehab and Living Center, and Heartland Hospice for the wonderful care given to our Dad during his illness. May he now finally rest in peace.
