Vetrial Mollie "Vet" Yancey

Vetrial "Vet� Mollie Yancey, 69, Independence, Mo., went to live with the Heavenly Father on July 1, 2005. Graveside services will be held at 10 am, Tuesday July 5, 2005 at Mound Grove Cemetery, in Independence. Vet was born July 23, 1935 to Jay and Girtha McCollum, in Melbourne, Arkansas. She was preceded in death by parents, brother Anson McCollum and sister Joyce Jackson. She is survived by her husband of 52 years, Paul Dwain Yancey, of the home; two sons, Douglas Yancey and Bobby Yancey, both of Independence, Mo.; her sister and brother-in-law Marie and Dane Taylor, Oklahoma, City, Ok; sister-in-law Betty McCollum, Melbourne, Ar; three daughters-in-law Brenda Yancey, Stephanie Aldrich, and Mary Patrick; two grandsons, of whom she was very proud, Joel Yancey-Patrick and Nicholas Giffen; numerous nieces and nephews and a host of friends, all who dearly loved her. Vet leaves a legacy of love and family. She will live forever in the hearts and minds of those who loved her.
