Stephen R. Yaryan, 66 of Waverly, MO passed away Saturday, November 14, 2015 at Centerpoint Medical Center. Cremation is planned with a private family inurnment service to be held at a later date in Missouri State Veterans Cemetery in Higginsville, MO. Stephen was born July 18, 1949 in Kansas City, MO to Forrest R. and Christina A. (Hutcheson) Yaryan. He spent his early life in the Kansas City area, attending Raytown South High School before enlisting in the Navy in 1968 and proudly served during Vietnam for 4 years. He later moved to the Lake of the Ozarks where he owned and operated Emerald Electronics for over 25 years. He later worked as a welder for Modine Manufacturing. He was an avid model train enthusiast and enjoyed race cars and fishing. He also enjoyed spending time with his wife and family especially his grandchildren. He is survived by; his loving wife Amanda Beth (McQueen) of the home; 2 daughters, Candace Yaryan of Harrisonville, MO and Kimberly Wilgus and husband Shane of Stafford, MO; 4 children, Max Alexander of Pennsylvania, Tiffany Berry and husband Dave of Indiana, Alexa Alexander of Kentucky and Samuel Alexander of Indiana; 3 brothers, LaVar Yaryan of Gravois Mills, Mo, Mike Yaryan of Cumming, GA and Scott Yaryan of Conway, MO; 5 grandchildren, Garrett Yaryan, Tucker Wilgus, Gunner Wilgus Damon Wilgus and McKinzie Wilgus. He was preceded in death by his parents and a sister, Deanna Kimbrough. He was a very loving and caring man and will be deeply missed.
