Richard G. Yeager, 74, of Independence, MO passed away Tuesday, September 8, 2009 at Centerpoint Medical Center. Mass of Christian Burial will be 10:30 a.m. Friday, September 11, 2009 at St. Mark’s Catholic Church. Visitation will be 6-8:00 p.m. Thursday, September 10, 2009 at Speaks Suburban Chapel where the rosary will be recited at 7:30 p.m. Cremation with inurnment in Oak Ridge Memory Gardens. Memorial contributions may be made to the American Kidney Fund, 6110 Executive Blvd., St. 1010, Rockville, MD, 20852. Richard was born January 19, 1935 in Sedalia, MO to William and Helen (Weseloh) Yeager. He proudly served in the U.S. Army before starting work at the General Motors Leeds Plant. Mr. Yeager retired after 32 years of service with GM and then went on to work for Mid-Continent Library South Branch before retiring after 15 years of service. He was a loving and devoted husband, dad and grandpa to his family. Richard is survived by his loving wife of 47 years, Margaret “Maggie” (Morris) Yeager; son Jason B. Yeager and girlfriend Jamie Wallace; daughter Rachelle Yeager and companion Mary Malich; grandchildren Abbey, Luke, Abigail and Jeffrey; brother Nehl Yeager and wife Connie; a host of nieces, nephews and cousins.
