Ed was a legendary guitar player and a cornerstone to the blues music scene in Kansas City. As a founding member of the KC Blues Band, he started the long running Monday night blues jams tradition at Blaney’s and later the Hurricane in Westport. Ed’s father worked for the railroad which led him to his passion for collecting everything railroad. If Ed did something, it was first rate. He had high standards for himself and those he worked with. He was very humble in the many talents God blessed him with. Ed is survived by his loving wife of 33 years, Ann (Butler) Yokley; sisters Kathleen Pyles, Bobbie Jeanne Tufts; and by a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and many, many friends. He was preceded in death by his parents Ernest and Mary.
