Martha Yokley, 84, of Independence, MO passed away December 11, 2013 at her home. A visitation will be held from 9-10:00 a.m. followed by a 10:00 a.m. service on Monday, December 16, at the Speaks Suburban Chapel, 18020 E. 39th St., Independence, MO. Burial will be held at Floral Hills Cemetery. Martha was born October 24, 1929 in Garden City, MO to Clyde and Lorraine Jones. She loved to travel, going to many places in and out of the country, spending the winter in California, baking in her kitchen, but most of all, being with and loving her husband and family. Martha was a former member of Independence Avenue Baptist Church, where she was on many committees. Most recently, she was an active member of Ascension Lutheran Church. She was preceded in death by the love of her life, 9 days ago, Darrell E. Yokley; as well as her parents; and infant sister, Betty Lou. She is survived by son, Pat Yokley and wife Jeanne; daughter, Martha Rosenberg and husband Phil; son Claude Clardy and wife Charlene; six grandchildren, Craig, Jennifer, Sean, Brian, Chad and Jeremy; eight great grandchildren, Cody, Philip, Connor, Amanda, Payton, Madeline, Patrick and Derek; two brothers, Don Jones and wife Dixie, Gary Jones; sister, Cheryl Deis and husband John; as well as many nieces and nephews.
