Sue E. Young, 60, Independence, MO passed away April 4, 2010. Services will be 10 am, Sat., April 10, 2010 at Speaks Suburban Chapel, 18020 E. 39th Street, Independence, MO 64055; interment at Blue Springs Cemetery. Visitation will be 6 – 8 pm, Friday at the funeral home.
Sue was born Dec. 5, 1949 in Kansas City, MO. She graduated from the University of Missouri with a degree in nursing. She worked as a registered nurse at the Medical Center of Independence and at Centerpoint Medical Center for over twenty years. She retired in 2008. She attended Woods Chapel United Methodist Church. She was active in children’s ministries and Camp Fire for many years. She enjoyed arts & crafts and was known for hand-making Christmas ornaments to give to friends and family during the Holidays.
Sue is survived by her husband of thirty-four years Warren Young, of the home; daughters Melody Sue Young, Independence, MO; Evie Lynn Rein and husband Jared, Tampa, FL; sister Kathy Geller and husband Mitch, Blue Springs, MO; and aunt Lois Yvonne Huffman, Independence, MO.
