Zachariah Marley King, lovingly known as Zach, passed away unexpectedly on May 25, 2026, in Independence, Missouri. Zach was born to Randy King and Marsha (Bauman) McNabb on January 8, 1972 in Kansas City, Kansas.

For the majority of his life, Zach worked as a skilled carpenter, a trade he embraced with pride and passion. In the last few years he shifted his focus to working at the Ford Motor Plant, where his hard work and commitment were valued by all who worked alongside him.

Zach’s jovial nature made him fun to be around; he was often the life of the party, lifting the spirits of those near him with his infectious laughter and good humor. Above all else, he loved his family fiercely.

Beyond his work and family life, Zach had a variety of hobbies. He was a music lover of all genres and enjoyed playing the drums and guitar. He also found freedom and exhilaration in riding his motorcycle while embracing the open road. Zach was equally as passionate about getting new tattoos and the world of horror films, he never gave up an opportunity watch a new thriller movie.

Zach was a man who truly lived life on his own spirited terms and will be greatly missed.

He is survived by his mother, Marsha McNabb; children, Hailey Aaron, Trent King and Casee McCoin; ex-wife, Brandy King; sister, Amber Mountjoy; brother, Avery Mountjoy; and granddaughter, Mia King.

Zach is preceded in death by his father, Randy King; son, Mark Aaron and grandson, Luca Moyer.

Cremation is planned with a celebration of life at a later date.
