Shirley Jean Zevecke

Shirley Jean Zevecke, 88, Independence, passed away peacefully March 19, 2023. Visitation will be at 9am with chapel service at 10 a.m. at Carson-Speaks Chapel, 1501 W Lexington, Independence on Friday, March 24, 2023. Burial in Mound Grove Cemetery following services. Shirley was born on March 19, 1935. Shirley worked as a housekeeper for over 30 years at Ambassador Hotel KC and The Groves. Shirley was preceded in death by her parents, five siblings and a daughter. Survivors include a daughter, two sons, granddaughter and grandson, great grandsons, six siblings and many nieces and nephews. Shirley was strong in her faith and devotion. She loved animals and enjoyed word searches as well as listening to Elvis and Lionel Richie.
